Great content doesn’t start with words, it begins with a strategy. It’s important for marketers to have a strong repeatable strategy that ensures connection with the audience, while also reflecting the brand identity and voice. Consistency isn’t only about posting often, but showing up with purpose and drive every single time.

Step 1: Define Your Audience
Before you begin writing, identify who you are writing for. What are you trying to teach them? Do research on your target audience, determine demographics and psychographics. Understand what your respective audiences want to learn and how you can teach them. Knowing your audience is the best way to connect with them.
Step 2: Choose a Topic
Its best to pick a topic that is important to both you and your audience. The best topics are often the ones you understand the most and have some sort of personal tie to. Aligning your topics with current trends, industry examples, and personal anecdotes can help you connect with your audience more, ensuring you get your point across more efficiently.
Step 3: Create a Catchy SEO Title
Titles often bring readers in. Ensure your title catches the audience’s attention while also being clear in what the article is going to teach them.
Step 4: Outline
Make sure you know what your main points are. Organize them in order in order of relevance, ensuring your post reminds refined and consistent the whole way through. For me this means breaking down the posts into different sections like intro, advice for marketers, case study/personal example, and takeaways.
Step 5: Write Reflecting Brand Persona and Voice
Curate your voice to whatever you want it to be, ensuring it stays professional and approachable. Focus on teaching and not summarizing. Knowing you audience well can come in handy here, by understanding what they like you can curate and craft your writing to be more attractive to them.
Step 6: Add a Quotable Moment
Sometimes it only takes one sentence to stick with readers. Make sure to include easily quotable and memorable quotes that connect to audience members.
Step 7: Elevate with Links and Graphics
Visuals and Links can take your posts to the next level. I find that using captivating visuals, that do not have too much going on, can help push your message more effectively. Additionally, linking similar articles and resources gives your audience the opportunity to learn more about the selected topic and makes the audience see you as more knowledgeable.
Step 8: Reread, Edit, Refine
Make sure you reread your posts a couple of times, make sure there are no spelling or grammar mistakes. Edit and refine your writing as you see fit, the ultimate judge is yourself.
Step 9: Be Consistent
Consistency is key when building a respectable brand. As stated, a repeatable routine can help make sure all your work is cohesive.
